The Next Big Thing in Tech

It’s not AI or Machine Learning, if that’s what you’re thinking. Apple has already pledged itself to making huge strides into this space, which has surprisingly fallen under the radar, probably because of all that has happened recently.

This is the next trillion dollar industry that will further technology to a scale that will allow consumers and businesses alike to interact with each other much more easily. We’ve seen that technology has been geared towards enabling more interconnectedness between humans for the past few centuries. From the steam engine to the airplane, the desire to connect with one another was the driving force behind making us truly globalized. A spark in the form of scientific knowledge and the courage to create allowed us to come to terms with what was actually possible in reality.

We’ve seen a lot of development in this space, and it can’t be characterized by one single technology but an array of technologies that are technically working towards the same goal.

What I’m talking about is the interaction with our immediate environment using our devices.We can see this in the form of mobile payments, Augmented Reality, the so called Internet of Things that will unlock the next gateway into a better world.
